Coping With Grief

As difficult as it may be, grief is a normal part of life. In a lifetime we will feel the sting of grief many times. Grief can come in many forms. We will grieve over the loss of a loved one, over the loss of relationships, the loss of a job, a home and even our pets. Coping with grief is always a struggle. If however your grief goes beyond the normal feelings of grief, please seek the help of your doctor.

coping with grief naturally

Even as we journey through our own personal transformations you may experience sorrow and grief. It is the process of letting go of our old selves, saying goodbye and moving on to that next phase of our life. Even when you are moving ahead to a better place, it is important to take the time to let go of your past, your old self and patterns that have served you well up to this moment in your life. As you say goodbye, thank that person for serving you, getting you to this day. That person taught you many lessons, and kept you safe. They are loved and appreciated.

Whatever form of grief you are coping with right now, doTERRA essential oils can help you make the transition. Essential oils can have a significant effect on the brain by stimulating a part of the brain known as the limbic system. The limbic system is responsible for emotions, memory, heart rate, your stress response, the fight or flight reflex and so much more.

Also found in the limbic system is the amygdala which plays a major role in storing and releasing emotional discomfort. The amygdala is highly responsive to smells, making essential oils a beautiful choice to help release emotional discomfort.

It will take time to overcome your grief. Honor that loss and then release it.

Grief Affirmation
